Sponsorship Drive FAQ
Q: Don’t you charge membership fees to your websites? Why hold a sponsorship drive?
A: I’ve worked very hard to build my company, and was able to earn a living, pay my bills, and employ a staff. This was accomplished through VHS and later DVD video sales, and memberships to my online websites.
In 2008, while on my burning desires erotic hypnosis stage show tour of 13 shows in Canada and one in the United States, I was informed that my processor would no longer process for me. I was told that VISA and then later Master Card found my sites to be offensive. I was given no recourse and no way to challenge this.
Over the months that followed, I would attempt to find new processors, and each one would eventually pull the plug on me, with each iteration getting progressively shorter, with the most recent processor actually stealing from me, and never making a single payout for six months of processing.
Although I have a working alternate payment processor, most of my customer base chooses only to make their purchases with Visa or Mastercard.
As such, I’m not able to make enough money to generate any new material, or even to continue to cover my existing costs,
Q: If you are not able to cover your existing costs, why are the websites still up?
A: I believe in my work. This is what I do, and I am one of the best people in the world at what I do. I spent the last 10 years of my life building my business.
A year ago, I took a job as a personal trainer so that I could continue to have a roof over my head and eat and pay for the server hosting.
However, personal trainers don’t make a whole lot of money, and there have been a number of other challenges that I’ve had to face.
Q: What sort of other challenges?
A: When I lost my economic resources, my business resources and contacts started to dry up very quickly. I was able to get by on favors for a while, but eventually those ran out.
Additionally, I soon discovered that the vast majority of the people that were in my life on a personal level were only interested in what I had to offer economically, or being around someone perceived as living an exciting life. My relationship ended shortly after that, and well as 95% of my friendships, with the remainder being scattered around the world and out of my reach.
Shortly after that, the IRS descended on me and took nearly everything I had on a monthly basis, leaving me with almost enough to survive, and making it impossible for me to have any sort of surplus in which to rebuild.
I was forced to get a job, and shortly after that, the State government descended on me, and took nearly everything else. At one point, I had a lien on me that imposed a maximum take home pay for $250 every two weeks, with everything else going to the state.
Alone, and financially ruined, I was in big trouble, and about to end up losing my lease and living in my car.
Q: Wow, that sounds terrible. Why didn’t you put a shotgun in your mouth?
A: The thought had occurred to me. However, I don’t own a shot gun, and if I had, I would have long since have had to sold it.
Q: How did you make it past that?
A: I asked the state to take a little less money, and then I worked over 320 hours in one month at my job. I worked open to close every day, and slept for 3 hours a night. I became the top trainer in a company of 11 locations and over 150 trainers.
Q: So everything is fine now, right?
A: Nope. The vice president of my company had a bright idea in the middle of the night, and as a result my hours went from 80 a week to 20, and my paycheck to about 30% of what it was. I still ended up losing my apartment, but made it to the end of my lease. Now I’m living out of my car. Also, under the new system at my job, it’s impossible for me to work the long hours I was working before.
Then, the day that I moved out of my apartment, and in to my car, I got a letter from the IRS, and they decided to place a 17,000 dollar lien on me, and that basically kills any hope that I might of had of slowly rebuilding.
So I’m pretty much out of options. If I do nothing, I will continue to lose my basic infrastructure, eventually even my ability to keep my server on the net.
Q: Wow… I’m depressed. Is there any silver lining to the story?
A: Sure. I used to be a fat alcoholic. Now I’m not. It’s been about 575 days since my last drink, and I have no intention of ever picking up the bottle again. I’m also have a personal trainer’s physique, which is developing in to a body builder’s physique. My body weight fluctuates from 174 to 200 lbs, with a body fat percentage that fluctuates between 10% and 18% depending on whether I am bulking or cutting. I can deadlift 405 lbs, squat 300 lbs, and bench 275 lbs.
Additionally, I have gained the meathead confidence and directness and authority to compliment the same traits I had as a hypnotist. The combination of the two makes me even better than I was before.
So there it is. I want to get back in to the game, but I can’t do it on my own. Your sponsorship can make it happen.
